May 29-30, 2025 | UC San Diego Center for the Future of Surgery
Join UC San Diego and Donation & Transplantation Institute (DTI) for an unparalleled hands-on donation after circulatory death (DCD) course and the use of Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP) led by experts from Europe and the United States.
Hosted by REIMAGINE, in collaboration with DTI, this multi-day course at the UC San Diego Center for the Future of Surgery will immerse participants in both theoretical foundations and hands-on in DCD and surgical NRP simulations with real-time instruction from pioneers in the field. In addition to the in-person agenda, there will be two live webinars:
Key Strategies for Building and Expanding a DCD-NRP Program:
Learn essential steps in launching and optimizing a successful DCD-NRP
program, including logistics, staffing, and overcoming institutional barriers.
Global Insights:
Engage with world-renowned faculty with expertise in successful DCD-NRP programs from Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, and the United States.
State-of-the-Art Technique:
Experience live simulations, case-based discussions, and an intensive
animal lab focused on organ assessment, NRP protocols, and multi-organ recovery strategies.
Hands-On Surgical Training:
Work directly with advanced NRP techniques, including abdominal and
thoraco-abdominal normothermic regional perfusion, guided by leading
transplant surgeons and perfusionists.
